Stamford Water Damage Restoration extracts no water, runs no drying plant, surveys no damage, remediates no mold and performs no repair or reconstruction. The work is done by a separate, independently owned local restoration firm, and liability for the survey, the estimate, the equipment, the personnel on site and the quality of the finished work lies with that firm.

The firm performing the work, and not this Site, must hold whatever registrations, licences and permits the state and local authorities attach to that work, must employ personnel accordingly, must keep its own insurance in force, and must answer to the bodies that issue its credentials. In Connecticut, home improvement registration and plumbing licensing are administered by the Department of Consumer Protection; in Westchester County, New York, home improvement contractors and plumbers are licensed by the county, and mold assessment and remediation are licensed by the New York State Department of Labor under its mold program. Connecticut's requirements for mold and restoration contractors have been subject to change and this Site states no definite rule on them; the question is put to the contractor and to the Department of Consumer Protection. Stamford Water Damage Restoration holds no licence or registration of its own, claims none, and has not reviewed any firm's licence or insurance records for a caller.

The assigned firm's registration or licence number is supplied on request, by telephone on this line or by the firm when it makes contact before the visit. It is not published on these pages, because it is that firm's own business detail and its privacy belongs to the firm. Verify anything you are given independently: Connecticut credentials at elicense.ct.gov, Westchester County trade licences through the county's licence search, and New York mold licences through the Department of Labor's contractor search. Permit requirements for a repair are confirmed by the municipal building department. Nothing here is a promise of insurance cover, of a claim outcome, or of an arrival time.
